Right now, there is a War inside your Guts. Half the mass of your Colon (around 2 pounds!) is made up by Colonies of bacteria competing for delicious Nutrients.

You might not be able to Control them, but you choose what food they fight over.

Who lives and who dies in this enourmously tiny Battleground?

Only one way to find out.

Created for the Game Makers Tool Kit (GMTK) Jam 2020.

The Theme was "Out of control" and I chose this game idea for three reasons:

1) Bacterial growth gets out of control extremely fast (which lead to a lof of crashes during testing)

2) It's a army simmulator with no direct control over any of the armys, so its out of the players control

3) In the real world, most of us dont pay attention to gut health, which often leads to bacteria we don't want taking control away from our "Good Guy" Bacteria

With a 4th unexpected point goes to my sleeping scedule during this Jam :)

(I also really liked the pun in the name)

I't was my first Jam and I sadly didnt get to give it as much time as I had wished for, but I'm still  glad I got to join and I learned a lot. I hope you find some enjoyment too!

Thank you if you take time out of your day to play my submission. I would love any comments, especially with critique or advice on how to improve.

I will continue working on this after the Jam to bring it closer to how I originally had it in mind, so stick around if you want to see my development

Uploaded the fixed version seperately now, please dont rate this one though. I dont want to "cheat" at the Jam, I just want some feedback...

Sorry if this breaks any rules, Im just a bit heartbroken

I tried to upload an update in the last 2 minutes and got a bugged version public by mistake. Is there any way to get this fixed or was all work for nothing now? :(
